A cool animation in which a biological mind, chained to nature at the ocean's depths, awakes and transcends its limits, its form, by enhancing itself with a self-assembled humanoid body.
With its new body, the mind gains the strength to break free from the chains of nature. It gains the strength to emerge from the ocean surface.
At the end one can see the minds are there in great numbers, glancing intently at the horizon where a technological human civilization can be seen not too far off in the distance.

From a biological standpoint, water has many distinct properties that are critical for the proliferation of life, that set it apart from other substances. It carries out this role by allowing organic compounds to react in ways that ultimately allow replication.
In this video I think the artist's use of water is meaningful and straight forward. Water has played a very important role in the emergence of life and intelligence.
In the animation, the mind finds itself chained to the very environment that once nurtured it.
Like this being, we find ourselves as conscious entities living in a vast life-nurturing ocean (our biological bodies, our planet, our current human civilization). While we can appreciate the good of the status-quo, we are very much aware of the chains that bind us to the limits of our current nature.
We have come far in 3 billions years of evolution, but we remain chained to the worse aspects of our biology, including ignorance, aging, lack of memory, disease and death.
The intellectual, cultural movement of Transhumanism is aiming to overcome these limits.
The pace of technological progress is quickening, and like the synaptic firings first seen on the mind on the first few seconds of this video, more human minds are becoming aware of our current biological limitations and the potential to overcome them.
The next step of evolution is now underway and we aim at playing a crucial role. We will not allow intelligence to stagnate. Life must be given the choices to continue to enhance itself responsibly, in order to break free from the chains that limit it.
The best is yet to be seen past the horizon, yet we can briefly glance at it from distance and marvel at it. We will overcome the tides that aim to limit our progressive nature.
