A Japanese science lab is developing technologies to visualise images and dreams - and eventually read people's minds.

The current experiments show a subject an image and then reconstruct that image based on scans of the brain's visual cortex.

Paprika is an anime movie along those lines, a brain machine interface allows people to interface to other people's dreams. Here is the trailer:
